Sierras Fishing Trip at Table Mountain
and
Hike from Long Lake to Bishop Pass
June 20-24, 2008

This Monday's Scout meeting will be the last chance for sign-ups for our Table Mountain camping, and Bishop High Adventure Backpacking trips.

The following is a description of both trips.

TABLE MOUNTAIN ACTIVITY ITINERARY

This is a drive-in campout. There will be many opportunities for fishing, stargazing and time to work on scouting skills activities. While this is a drive-in type outing, we will have one day away from our base camp for lake front fishing, which will require a 1/2 mille hike to the fishing area thus a simple school book-bag type back-pack to carry a lunch, 10 essentials and fishing gear will be helpful on this day. The pristine nature of the Table Mt. campsite requires a limit of 25 campers total.

BISHOP HIGH ADVENTURE BACKPACK ACTIVITY ITINERARY

Camping, backpacking, fishing in the Eastern Sierras. We will camp at 4 Jeffries camp ground, 18 miles outside the town of Bishop, on Friday. Departing from South Lake trailhead, we will spend Saturday night at Chocolate Lakes. Sunday will be spent day hiking, fishing and relaxing at Long Lake with a Monday morning destination back to 4 Jeffries.

We will have limit of 15 spots for this outing.

Keep in mind that we have limited spots for both of these trips, so please be sure and sign up!
