FLOATING FLAG POLE HISTORY

Floating Flagpole 2002.jpg (96912 bytes)

You may never have heard of the floating flagpole. It's something that a couple of "engineerically" minded scouts of ours came up with years ago. The central flag pole does not touch the ground, but is supported by ropes connected to three other poles that support it all.   Click on the image above for a larger photo.

For more information on the floating flag pole, click here.  For more historic photos of Troop 801 including 1988 Hoagee photo, 1993 and 1998 Philmont crews, 1994 Fisherman's Camp, click here.  Thanks to Dr. Phil Rosenkrantz  for the link information.
